Time zones
Time zones refer to a certain time period in which an employee will be able to clock. In the scenario where an employee is required to work from 08:00 till 17:00 and a time zone has been set up for 07:45 till 17:15, the employee will only be able to clock between 07:45 and 17:15. Should an employee attempt to clock outside this time frame, the clocking data will not be accepted.
Time zones ate very powerful as a security measure at both time & attendance- as well as access control implementations.
Time zones ate also done per group, so you could as an example have the same groups as above/before with the following time zone rules (again, only as an example):
Time zone 1 | Time zone 2 | Time zone 3
Information technology | Monday to Friday 00:00 to 23:59 | Monday 07:00 to 19:00 | Sunday No access |
Human resources | Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 19h00 | Friday 07:00 to 14:00 | Saturday and Sunday No access |
General | Monday to Friday 07:30 to 17:30 | Saturday and Sunday No access
Security | Monday to Sunday 00:00 to 23:59 |
Each group can be linked to a maximum of 3 time zones.
