Job Overview
The Office Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within Binary City’s office environment. This position involves managing administrative tasks, coordinating office activities, and providing support to staff members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage office supplies and equipment, including procurement and inventory management.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs, ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, redirecting them as needed.
- Greet and assist visitors, providing a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and meetings, coordinate travel arrangements, and manage calendars.
- Assist in organising company events, conferences, and team-building activities.
- Maintain office filing systems and databases, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
- Assist in HR-related tasks such as employee onboarding and record-keeping.
- Support other departments with administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant, or in a similar role.
- Excellent proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong spelling and grammar skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanour and customer service-oriented approach.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
- Proficient in English and Afrikaans.
