In this role
You should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. If you are proficient in popular technologies such as listed below, then we would love to speak to you:
- MySQL or MSSQL (compulsory to be proficient in at least one of the two)
- PHP or C# (compulsory to be proficient in at least one of the two)
- Python (will be an added advantage)
- Linux
Your goal will be to build custom, state of the art, efficient applications and systems that serve user needs.
Responsibilities
- Providing sound technical support to our clients
- Directing system testing and validation procedures
- Training of users
- Gather and evaluate user feedback
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
- Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
- Conferring with project managers on project specifications, activities, and status
Adversities
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
- Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware
- Improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces
Must Have
- Programming experience
- Knowledge of databases and operating systems
- Good working knowledge of debugging & error handling of code and software
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Detail-oriented
- Be able to respect, adapt and maintain existing coding standards (we will not accept spaghetti code)
