Hardware Supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven Experience: 3+ years in field installation/maintenance of access control, biometric terminals, CCTV, electric fencing, and perimeter automation. Experience and understand routing and switching configurations.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading or supervising a team of technical installers or field technicians.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on knowledge of brands such as ZKTeco, HIKVision, Centurion gate motors, Nemtek electric fencing (or equivalent). Have worked with time and attendance or access control systems.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong technical troubleshooting skills for low-voltage electronics and networking basics.
  • Driver’s License: Valid Code B (or higher) driver's license (essential for site visits).
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written English communication skills for client interaction and reporting. Passionate about working with customers, listening to their needs and finding practical solutions.






Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Hardware Supervisor to lead and oversee our technical field installations and hardware maintenance team.

In this role, you will be the bridge between technical execution and quality assurance—ensuring our physical hardware installations meet high operational standards, project deadlines are kept, and technical team members are effectively guided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Lead, schedule, and mentor the installation technicians and field teams.

  • On-Site Supervision & Quality Control: Oversee the physical installation and configuration of:

  • Biometric & Time/Attendance Terminals: ZKTeco and HIKVision devices.

  • Access Control Systems: Magnetic locks (maglocks), striker locks, turnstiles, and integrated alarm systems.

  • Perimeter Security: Gate motors and electric fencing installations.

  • Surveillance: IP & Analog CCTV systems (cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and networking).

  • Hardware Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee hardware diagnostics, component repairs, and bench testing prior to deployments.

  • Project Execution: Manage site assessments, deployment timelines, and handovers to clients.

  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, neat cabling standards, and high-quality craftsmanship on every job site.

Standardised Compensation & Benefits Package

  • Base Salary Range: 

    • Supervisor rate commensurate with experience (N$ 264,000 – N$320,000 per annum cost to company).
