Junior Binary City Time Consultant (Windhoek)

The position entails, day to day client support on Binary City Time, Binary City Time installations and SmarTime Client to Time migrations. 

The position requires the consultant to be able to drive out on occasion to clients.

Lastly, the position requires consultants to assist clients to review and setup overtime rules in accordance with labour requirements. 

    • Tertiary Education
    • Exposure in IT related environment (Previous employment in IT environment)
    • Understand networking (Port forwarding, IP's, router configurations etc)
    • Ability to apply your mind to resolve problems
    • Must be very good with numbers.
    • Strong Interpersonal skills and great telephone etiquette
    • Must have a drivers licence. 
    • Must be a Namibian citizen

    Middle Level Software Developer (Midrand)

    The position offers a development position, which allows for a focused and well organised environment, properly planned, and realistic deadlines.

    We're passionate about software and technology, and expect the same from our team.

    We developed a product called, Binary City Time over the course of approximately 2 - 3 years. The application is web-based; built on a variety of technologies. Binary City Time allows for Time & attendance, and Security (managing physical access control via web-based software) functionality via our cloud based application. Our main focus was ease of use, security and accuracy. The successful candidate(s) will be tasked with responsibilities surrounding the aforementioned application, ranging from user functionality, API development, supporting applications using Binary City Time's API, and etc.

    We'd prefer the successful candidate(s) to sit at our head office, in Windhoek, Namibia, but am open to discuss a remote position - such as in our Midrand office.

    Requirements

    • Be passionate about software development and technology;
    • 5+ years experience with PHP & MySQL;
    • have a sound understanding of Object Oriented Programming;
    • willing to learn and embrace critical feedback;
    • willing and able to work in a team;
    • willing to follow predetermined coding standards;
    • carry out instructions efficiently and accurately;
    • fluent in English.
    • Must be a South African Citizen.


    Bonus skills

    • Experience in financial programming;
    • good understanding of design;
    • business intelligence;
    • experience with Microsoft C#;
    • experience with Apple development, with more focus on app development, using the Swift language;
    • experience with Android development.
